Senior Care Assistant – Lead with Compassion


We’re looking for an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team and help us provide outstanding care to our residents. In this leadership role, you’ll ensure the highest standards of care, support your team, and create a warm, welcoming environment for both residents and staff.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and Inspire – Coordinate shifts, delegate tasks effectively, and support your team to deliver exceptional care.
  • Resident Support – Assist with personal care, mobility, and daily routines while promoting dignity and independence.
  • Medication Management – Administer, record, and oversee medication, ensuring full compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Effective Communication – Engage with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and staff to ensure clear and compassionate communication.
  • Teamwork & Development – Foster a positive team culture, mentor junior staff, and promote continuous learning.
  • Visitor & Family Engagement – Welcome visitors, assist with show-rounds, and build trusting relationships with families.
  • Emergency Response – React quickly to call bells and urgent situations, ensuring residents’ safety and well-being.
  • Record Keeping – Maintain accurate care plans, risk assessments, and documentation reflecting residents’ needs and preferences.
  • Health & Safety – Ensure compliance with regulations, including COSHH, and escalate concerns as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualifications – SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is essential (or working towards it).
  • Medication Competency – Practical experience in dispensing and administering medication is required.
  • Leadership Skills – Ability to motivate and support a team while maintaining a positive, person-centred approach.
  • Caring & Compassionate – A warm, friendly personality with a commitment to enhancing residents’ lives.
