Job Description

We’re looking for a compassionate and dedicated General Assistant to support our residents during meal times and contribute to a welcoming dining environment, ensuring individual nutritional needs are met with care and dignity.

What You’ll Do

  • Meal Service Support: Assist residents during meal times, providing tailored support based on individual needs and preferences.
  • Dining Area Maintenance: Keep dining areas clean, tidy, and hygienic before, during, and after meal times.
  • Kitchen Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team, supporting their efforts to deliver high-quality meals.
  • Food Hygiene Compliance: Adhere to food hygiene standards, ensuring safe handling and preparation of meals.
  • Person-Centred Approach: Promote a compassionate, respectful, and individualized approach to support each resident.
  • Nutritional Assistance: Help residents make informed food choices and assist with their dietary needs as required.
  • Cleaning Procedures: Follow designated cleaning routines to maintain high hygiene standards in dining areas and the kitchen.
  • Health & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to create a supportive and efficient environment for meal times.
  • Policy Adherence: Read, understand, and follow company policies and procedures.

Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Empathy and Compassion: Strong interpersonal skills to provide supportive and respectful care to residents.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage tasks efficiently, ensuring smooth and timely meal service.
  • Food Hygiene Knowledge: Basic understanding of food safety principles.
