Job Description

Care Concern Group is looking for an inspirational leader to commission a 60-bedded, purpose-built luxury care home in Stoke-on-Trent.

We are looking for someone who has commissioning experience to ensure that the home is set up for success.

What Will the Commissioning Home Manager Be Doing from Day One?

  • Driving the occupancy from scratch
  • Build your own team - Create and manage the recruitment strategy – This will include how you phase the recruitment drive from the very beginning, without becoming reliant upon agency usage.
  • Ensuring profit and loss is in line with the budget set.
  • Compliant with business governance, risk management processes and operational processes.
  • Up to date with Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Register the service with Local Authorities.
  • Create HR functions for the care home, ie. Performance management, inductions, training etc..
  • Promoting marketing ideas to boost the reputation of the care home.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Registered Home Manager with experience in senior management.
  • Proven track record working successfully in a care home. (Elderly setting)
  • Commissioning home experience is advantageous, but not a deal-breaker.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Knowledge of CQC & Local Authority requirements
  • Excellent leadership skills
